Oh, so many sex workers online, so many rules! It can be overwhelming, we get it… but worry not! We have compiled a list of the most common things sex workers would like you to watch for when interacting with us. Trust us, it’s not rocket science!
Let’s face it… many people that truly NEED to read this, unfortunately won’t.
However, the more folks that are aware of the basic guidelines, the more we can all help each other maintain a fun, friendly, comfortable, and sexy atmosphere!
In an attempt to put an ultimate guide out there, here goes…
- Apply common sense and decency, consider the human; remember you are talking to a real person, be kind and respectful!
- Inform yourself about a creator’s boundaries, terms and prices if they are listed (usually on their website, in the bio, a pinned post or welcome message on fan sites). Ask if you’re unsure!
- Treat us like you would any other professional.
- Stay up to date with laws concerning us and ideally, with the Terms of Service (TOS) changes of various porn platforms. This is to help all of us keep our accounts and stay out of trouble.
- Don’t presume how any of us like to be addressed. This includes pronouns, pet names/terms of endearment, titles…
- Trust is earned, not just given. Don’t ask for favors unless there’s great longtime rapport and you’ve consistently shown support.
- Respect our rates and don’t haggle! It’s a massive turn-off and you can always wait for a sale or find another creator.
- Keep in mind that we are not a viable substitute for therapy. We enjoy lending you an ear but make sure to tip for our time and respect it.
- Generally be patient and mindful of how busy sex work is. Don’t send a bunch of follow-up messages and don’t assume you are being ignored! If you wish to bump up your message, a good idea is to include a tip!
- Manipulative, scammy, pushy, aggressive behavior will get you blocked on the spot!
- Flirty openers are fine but sexually explicit cold openers (especially without prior payment or tip attached) are considered tasteless by most sex workers.
- Fan sites are not dating sites. Remember this and save yourself the future disappointment and awkwardness! Not to mention protecting yourself from romance scams that take advantage of para-social connections!
- Similarly, fan sites are not a good place to make friends. Friendships between buyers and creators ARE possible but please do not expect them just because you seem to get along! Not to mention, don’t pressure a sex worker into friendship in attempt to get free content and interaction.
- Payment comes before service! Provide a deposit if you can’t pay a high amount in full (ONLY if the creator is okay with that).
- Never send your nudes unprompted without tipping or entering a paid mutual agreement.
- Don’t randomly DM us on socials. Most require a DM fee – pay it before messaging or just message us on our fan sites instead! Keep in mind that this is our work and refer to rule 8!
- Don’t spam our posts with explicit sexual fantasies unless you are a good tipper and subscriber!
- Don’t presume a creator’s kinks, ask in advance or book a session to talk kink.
- Don’t assume we are all rich. Yes, even creators with high followings! The average creator earns only a couple hundred dollars at most monthly!
- Don’t badmouth other sex workers to us, we will not indulge you unless they are clearly a scammer! Remember that someone having boundaries or prices you don’t like does NOT make them a bad person/seller!
- Don’t save our content – no matter what your beliefs are, IT IS THEFT unless you purchased and agreed on a download! The best you can do is ASK the creator you’re on good terms with!
- Do not ask for meets on any porn platform – IT’S EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN and will get you reprimanded, blocked and even banned!
…aaand, that’s it! Congratulations, you’ve made it through the entire list and are now perfectly prepared to have fun with a sexy creator of your choice! 🙂
We are all human so expect boundaries and comfort zones to vary wildly between individuals!
